Terms of Service
Welcome to TravelWavi. By using the app or this website you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use TravelWavi. If you are between 16 and 18, you confirm a parent or guardian has consented to your use.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. We may suspend accounts for abuse, harassment, illegal content, or violations of community guidelines.
3. User-generated content
TravelWavi is a community platform. When you post pins, tips, photos, comments, or chat messages:
- You retain ownership of your content.
- You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, translate, and distribute it inside the app and (where applicable) on travelwavi.com.
- You confirm you have the right to post the content and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.
- You agree not to post: illegal content, harassment, hate speech, spam, sexually explicit material, or anything that endangers public safety.
4. Moderation
We may remove content or suspend accounts at our discretion to enforce these terms. Reports of abusive content can be sent to abuse@travelwavi.com or via the in-app report flow. We aim to review reports within 48 hours.
4a. Copyright complaints (DMCA / IP takedown)
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on TravelWavi infringes your copyright, send a notice in writing to our designated agent at dmca@travelwavi.com including: (1) your physical or electronic signature, (2) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed, (3) identification of the allegedly infringing material with sufficient detail to locate it, (4) your contact information, (5) a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized, and (6) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner. We will respond promptly per 17 U.S.C. §512(c). Counter-notices follow §512(g). Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated under our §512(i) repeat-infringer policy.
5. Subscriptions (Assistant Pro)
TravelWavi Assistant Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription billed by Apple via the App Store. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Pricing is shown in the app before purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew at the same price for the same duration unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. We don't collect payment data; Apple does.
5a. Israeli consumer cooling-off (חוק הגנת הצרכן §14ג1)
Israeli residents have the right to cancel a distance-contract subscription within 14 days of receiving the service for the first time, per חוק הגנת הצרכן, התשמ"א-1981, סעיף 14ג1. To exercise this right, cancel via iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions and email info@travelwavi.com with the subject line "ביטול לפי 14ג1" within the 14-day window. Apple processes the refund according to App Store refund procedures. This right does not waive Apple's separate refund policies; it operates in parallel.
6. Affiliate disclosure
The "App Finder" tool and certain in-app recommendations contain affiliate links to third-party services (e.g., booking platforms, activity providers). When you click these and make a purchase on the partner's site, we may earn a small commission. This never costs you more. We only recommend services we believe are useful, and affiliate revenue does not influence our editorial decisions.
7. Travel content disclaimer
TravelWavi is an information and community platform, not a travel agent. We do not arrange, sell, or provide travel services ourselves. AI-generated itineraries, summaries, and tips are suggestions, not professional advice. Always verify visa rules, border requirements, accommodation availability, opening hours, and safety conditions directly with official sources before traveling.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TravelWavi's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) US$100 (or local-currency equivalent at the prevailing exchange rate on the date of the claim). We are not liable for losses caused by your use of third-party services accessed via affiliate links.
Carve-outs. Nothing in this section limits liability for: (i) death or personal injury caused by negligence; (ii) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (iii) any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. EU consumers retain non-waivable rights under EU Directive 93/13 (unfair contract terms) and applicable national consumer protection law. Israeli consumers retain non-waivable rights under חוק החוזים האחידים, תשמ"ג-1982 §4 and the consumer protection statutes.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify TravelWavi against any claim arising from your content, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete My Account. We may terminate accounts for material breach. Surviving provisions: §3 (your license to your residual content as part of others' threads), §6, §7, §8, §9, §11.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. The exclusive forum for disputes is the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Yafo. EU consumers retain rights to bring claims in their country of residence under applicable consumer protection laws.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are posted here and notified in-app at least 14 days in advance.
